Multiple Trace Deformations, Boundary Conditions And Ads/Cft

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: NATO Science Series ((NAII,volume 104))

Abstract

We discuss multiple-trace deformations of a CFT with an AdS dual and demonstrate how these result in a change of the boundary conditions to which dual gravity fields are subjected. Our analysis suggests that fluctuations around the classical solution in AdS should not be constrained by boundary conditions.
