Abstract
There is global, regional and local contamination of the atmosphere. The level of industrial pollutants and the circulation of air streams influence the extent of contamination. Industrial pollution in Ukraine has many negative socio-economic consequences. The level of pollution is related to the geographical situation, prior patterns of natural-resource use, the structure of the national economy, and ecological conditions. The pollution contributes to the global greenhouse effect and to the depletion of the ozone layer.
