Abstract
Throughout this book, I have set the conceptual framework for discussions of terrorism and secession, each of which is more than not a form of actual or threatened political violence. Explored were various complexities of the putative moral obligation to obey the law, pacifism, the nature and justification of civil disobedience (as construed by traditionalists such as John Rawls), non-violent direct action, the natures and moral justifications of political violence in general, and of terrorism and secession in particular.
