Abstract

Priority is given to operative closure of the defects in the orbital floor and the lower lid, in order to guarantee a functional protection for the eyeball. Defects of the cheek, the upper lip and the palate can be operated in a separate session.

The operative results are demonstrated and developmental problems of the maxillo-facial area are discussed.
