Abstract
In the Ospedale ‘Umberto 1°’ (Ancona, Italy) we noticed that in certain patients C.T. showed abnormally thick optic nerves. Most of them were known to have papilledema. Ambrose & Mosely had already noticed an increase in the size and shape of optic nerves with irregular thickness. Enlarged optic nerves were seen with or without any intra-cranial lesion (Fig. 1).
