Abstract
The doctor must be particularly vigilant in the first months after implantation. A careful note will be made on the way the patient has reacted to the pacemaker, both physically and psychologically. The doctor’s knowledge and judgement will keep the patient from major complications, futile risks and unjustified hospitalisation.
