Significance of his Bundle Recording in Bundle Branch Block

  • Chapter
To Pace or not to Pace

Abstract

His bundle studies in patients with bundle branch block (BBB) have revealed abnormal intraventricular conduction in many patients especially with left bundle branch block (LBBB). The electrophysiological explanation and the clinical significance of a prolonged His-ventricle (H-V) time is controversial. Therefore, we compared the electrophysiological data with the clinical, hemodynamic and morphological findings in patients with BBB as well as the outcome during follow-up.
