Abstract
Although testicular carcinoma accounts for only one percent of all malignant tumors in men, it remains the leading cause of cancer death in males 25 to 35 years old. The survival rate of patients with testis cancer has greatly improved in recent years, due largely to more effective chemotherapeutic programs and radiation therapy techniques. Despite these advances in the treatment of patients with metastatic disease, early recognition and prompt surgical exploration of suspect testis mass lesions remains the foundation of testis cancer treatment.
