Abstract
In the first chapter of this study it was proposed that one of the fundamental questions to be resolved in integration schemes among less developed countries is that of the distribution of benefits. Further, it was noted that the countries subscribing to an integration scheme consider the main benefits of such schemes to be derived from the localization of new industries within their borders. The benefits to be derived from an expanded trade in the products already traded are expected to be very limited.
