Abstract

We are evidently far from having accounted for all the kinds of particles at present known by the physical correlates proposed in the last chapter for the rational Sorts in the family D2. To explain the masses, modes of decay, lifetimes, and other properties of all the two hundred or so species which have been discovered is manifestly beyond the competence of my theory; at best it may make some of the assumptions incorporated in Quantum Chromodynamics seem a little less arbitrary than they now do. If so, it will have added to the already formidable explanatory power of that theory. But we have now no further rational Sorts to examine, from which additions to this repertory might emerge, and our journey is nearing its end.
