Abstract
The spatial distribution of pH-values in precipitation has been evaluated on the basis of measurements at stations of the precipitation chemistry network of the World Meteorological Organisation for the years 19 72 to 1979. A conclusive picture of the global distribution cannot be given but the contours of precipitation-acidity gain shape for Europe and North America.
