Part of the book series: Developments in Hematology and Immunology ((DIHI,volume 5))

Abstract

The demand for factor VIII as a therapeutic material for hemophilia appears to be the main driving force in donor plasma procurement. Because of the ease of handling and the high yield cryoprecipitate is still widely produced by blood transfusion services for hemophilia treatment.
