Abstract
Cytochemical studies have shown that, in late spermatids, basic nucleoproteins, rich in lysine, are replaced by spermatozoon — specific nucleoproteins (3, 5). Acidic aniline blue is known to strongly stain the chromatin of early spermatids (7). Beyond these results, our observations demonstrate the variable ability of ejaculated human spermatozoa to stain with aniline blue.
