Surface Changes in Monkey Spermatozoa During Epididymal Maturation and After Ejaculation

  • Chapter
The Sperm Cell

Abstract

Studies on surface changes in mammalian spermatozoa during epididymal transit, as revealed by cytochemical technics or lectin-binding, has mainly involved domestic and laboratory animals (1–8). As an extension of these investigations a systematic study was made on a primate, Macaca fascicularis.

We wish to thank you Mr N. Marchi et Mrs. M. Baurès for their skillful technical assistance.
