Abstract
Management of the patient with manifest life-threatening ventricular arrhythmia remains a major challenge facing the clinician. Despite advances in the technology of cardiovascular medicine, we face numerous as yet unanswered questions on how best and to what extent patients with ventricular arrhythmia should be exposed to or undergo various procedures. Further, we are unclear as to how best to utilize these technologic advances in the best interest of the patient with life-threatening arrhythmia. The purpose of this chapter will be to review those methods currently being used in the management of the patient with malignant ventricular arrhythmia.
