Abstract
A brief history of Aujeszky’s Disease (AD) in Great Britain is given, together with a description of the current situation, including the results of a recent serological survey of 25 000 sera. The probable methods spread of the disease in a small endemic area in East Anglia are examined, including wildlife studies and finally current Ministerial policy and possible methods of control of the disease are examined.
