Abstract
Fever is the commonest single presenting sign of illness in childhood. In this chapter we will discuss the diagnostic approach to children with fever of unknown origin, that is, fever for which the cause is not apparent from the history and clinical examination. This is, of course, a daily dilemma for general practitioners and paediatricians.
