Abstract

A broad conceptual review has been carried out to identify the types of island that can be considered for supporting a nuclear power plant. These types are given in Section 5.2. Their advantages and disadvantages are discussed in Sections 5.3 – 5.38 and the most promising types for outline design are selected in Sections 5.39 onwards.
