Part of the book series: The Jerusalem Symposia on Quantum Chemistry and Biochemistry ((JSQC,volume 16))

Abstract

This NMR study on short DNA helices has five general objectives: (1) to develop effective approaches in the assignment of proton and phosphorus resonances of short helices; (2) to calibrate the NMR theory as applied to nucleic acid; (3) to obtain the helical DNA conformational parameters as accurately as possible; (4) to serve as a model system for defected DNA studies, and (5) to serve as a model for protein-nucleic acid interactions.
