Abstract
The conditions for establishing of seismicity map are discussed: reliability of epicentral location from inadequate geo-graphic distribution of data, magnitude definition.
Apart from the June 7, 1931 earthquake (the most important computed event), the seismicity of the North Sea and Norwegian Sea. is located within a stripe paralleling the coast of Norway.
La base de la carte séismique présentée est constituée par un extrait de la carte générale des déterminations épicentrales réalisées par le CoS.E.M., pour la période 1976 à 1981. Cette base à été complétée pour la région de la mer du Nord et de la mer de Norvège par des informations provenant de diverses sources.
