Microprocessor-Based Measurement Systems
A microprocessor is a Large Scale Integration (LSI) component that implements most of the functions of a processor on a single silicon chip. It consists of two units:the arithmetic and logic unit (ALU) and the control unit (CU). The arithmetic and logic unit performs arithmetic and logical operations on the data and the control unit fetches, decodes and executes the successive instructions of a program stored in the memory.
