Abstract

Radioactive materials given to patients for the purpose of diagnosis are pharmaceuticals and are expected to give the same degree of safety as other pharmaceuticals. This means that when producing such pharmaceuticals only ingredients with certificate of origin and of pharmaceutical grade are used and all procedures are outlined in order to secure a final product meeting the demand of the user. This also include that possible risks can be estimated and compared with the benefit of the investigation.
