Abstract
Reno-vascular hypertension is defined as the elevation of bloodpressure which is caused by the presence of unilateral or bilateral stenotic lesions in the main renal artery or in its major branches. In most cases a surgical correction of the stenosis will exert a beneficial effect on the hypertension.
