Abstract

Dieter Bossman’s book, What I have heard about Adolf Hitler, caused an immediate sensation when it appeared in 1977, revealing once again the depths of confusion, ignorance and distorted images German young people had about events in the Third Reich. A few excerpts from the section “Persecution of the Jews” will indicate the anti-Semitic attitudes which continue to prevail among some students:1
