Abstract

The term ‘adenosis’ has been used to designate both an increase in the number of lobular ductules or acini and an alteration in the architecture of these structures, as in blunt duct adenosis. Although usually seen in association with cystic hyperplasia the various forms of adenosis may occur alone.
