Abstract

Renal replacement therapy namely haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and renal transplantation has become a well established procedure for the treatment of patients with end stage renal failure. Currently more than 60, 000 patients are maintained on regular dialysis throughout the world (1). In the Arab world, there are a few dialysis centres reported in the registry of the European Dialysis and Transplant Association (2, 3).
