Abstract

Osteoporosis is the most common of the diseases that affect bones. One out of four women will develop osteoporosis after the menopause. But first, what is osteoporosis? Osteoporosis is defined clinically as the loss of bone (ostopaenia) sufficient to result in fractures with minimal trauma, generally of the spine, but also of the hip and wrist.
