Abstract
Oestrogen therapy, and later on oestrogen — progestogen sequential therapy, of the climacteric syndrome in the menopause and postmenopause has been given to a growing number of patients over the last few decades, notwithstanding the fact that the many problems that this therapy brings along are far from being solved.
