Abstract
From a viewpoint of reactor neutron irradiation and dosimetry activities in JAPAN, two important recent progresses are reviewed, one is the Japanese fast breeder reactor development program and another is the reactor dosimetry research activities in the special committee of the Atomic Energy Society of JAPAN. The experimental fast reactor JOYO has been operated successfully from December, 1981 and is now applied as the fuel and material irradiation bed for the next prototype fast breeder reactor MONJU, which is expected for its initial criticality on March, 1991. The AESJ special committee on ″Evaluation of Neutron Irradiation Data″ has a main role for the review of reactor dosimetry research and developments in JAPAN and recently made a participation to the PSF Blind Test of the LWR-PV-SDIP as the Japanese task group.
