Abstract

General trends in change and redistribution of population in Nepal are discussed for the country as a whole and for the main ecological zones. International and internal migration, both permanent and seasonal, have left their impact upon the pattern and density of settlement and the ethnic mix and social character of the population in various parts of Nepal.
