Abstract

This chapter and the next will describe in detail the various subdivisions of teratoma recognized. The classification of the British Testicular Tumour Panel (B.T.T.P.)1 will form the basis of this discussion but continual reference to the equivalent categories in the American2 and WHO3 nomenclatures will be made (see also Table 4.2) and these will appear in brackets after the B.T.T.P. name whenever there is an exact equivalent.
