Abstract
Throughout the period in which this book was being written, various collections of rate data were available (see references throughout). Taking into account the recommendations of the compilers, the data presented here are probably the best (or sometimes the only) values avaiable. Discussion of the experimental techniques involved in measurement of rate data is to be found in Chapter 3 and some further comments in Chapter 7.
