Abstract

Genetic theory is broadly divided into two areas. One area is concerned with specific genetic loci, while the other is concerned with quantitative variables for which the values are determined by several or many loci together. The topics covered in Chapters 8 to 10 have been solely in the first area. It is the second area that is now given prominence.
