Abstract

In this chapter some models for the storage and fluxes of chemical constituents are discussed with a view to assessing their possible applications. In the past hydrochemical modelling focused on mixing processes in lakes and streams. In groundwater flow the emphasis was on longitudinal mixing, i.e. mixing in the direction of flow.
