Abstract
PCD spectroscopy of Mkn 463, a double nucleus Seyfert-2 galaxy, has been performed at the 2.2m telescope of the ESO Observatory in order to verify the spatial resolution and the sensitivity of the detecting system. A preliminary analysis of the spectra shows that the asymmetric profiles of the emission lines arising from the Seyfert-2 nucleus are more likely due to dynamical effects rather than to dust extinction.
