Ultraviolet Spectra of 3 Seyfert 1 Galaxies with Optical Fe II Emission Lines

UV spectra of 3 Seyfert 1 galaxies, VII Zw 118, I Zw 1, and III Zw 2, which are known to have strong to moderate optical Fe II emissions are presented. The first IUE observations of VII Zw 118 show that its UV spectral index is about 1 as in the optical. The CIV FWHM and FW20%I are broader than those of Ly ∝. The variability of the UV line profile and/or continuum of I Zw 1 is not significant. Relatively strong emissions in the UV Fe Il multiplets are confirmed. III Zw 2 is strongly variable in the UV band. During the period covered by IUE observations its continuum flux changed by a factor of approximately 4.5. The variable CIV flux is correlated with the continuum flux at 1450 Å, thus supporting the photoionization model.
