Abstract
The occurrence of collaterals (C) is still controversial. It is still unclear why patients with the same severity of coronary disease develope collaterals and others do not. Several factors which influence the development of C are discussed [1–5]. In addition, it is still controversial whether there are functionally significant C present, not being visible during coronary angiography.
