Abstract

Treatment of acute myocardial infarction with intracoronary infusion of thrombolytic agents such as streptokinase or urokinase has received considerable attention over the last several years. Many investigations have appeared evaluating such different aspects as recanalization rates, efficacy in limiting infarct size, reduction in peri-infarct mortality, and treatment associated complications.
