Abstract

At the University of Leuven, a system has been designed and built that produces Braille copies fast and economically. The first two elements of the system, a text entry station and a single-sided embossing machine have been operative in Belgium since 1982. The design of two other elements is in progress: a Braille to Braille copier and an editor for the automatic production of Braille.
