Abstract
Subce 1978 we have carried out 846 operations on anterior chest wall deformities at the Tokyo Women’s Medical College. Prior to this, the author had performed 455 funnel chest operations from 1957–1977 at the Sapporo Medical College, of which the initial 271 cases are reported elsewhere.[2] This paper reports the clinical experience in dealing with the 1300 funnel chest operations and our current surgical techniques.
