Abstract
A seaman should take every seaman-like precaution to avoid being placed on a lee shore and so also an offshore contractor would be wise to see that he is not placed in a situation where he does not have an insurance coverage for a particular situation. Whatever the circumstances that could lead to eventual disaster these can be avoided by taking good advice and obtaining proper insurance cover.
