Abstract

As the number of offshore installations continues to grow and as the age of existing installations advances, the need for in—situ platform repairs appears ever increasing. Our company has been leading the design development of general repair techniques and, in particular, grouted clamps, and has been involved with design, fabrication and installation of underwater repair and strengthening schemes for over 40 major platforms. Against this background, this chapter reviews the development and current status of grouted clamp repair technology.
