Abstract
In the recent decade, the study of geomathematics in China has gained extensive development. Of the numerous research directions, making use of mathematical models in quantitative prediction of mineral deposits and in assessment of mineral resources has been taking the most important position. Five nation-wide academic symposia on geomathematics were held in China during the last ten years. Over a quarter of the papers presented dealt with problems of statistical prediction and resource assessment. This review summarizes the types of geomathematical applications performed.
