Abstract
Pre-discovery evaluations of prospects are conditional on perceptions of trap geometry and assumptions about regional endowment. These conditional relationships must be determined explicitly in order to assess the expected worth of petroleum deposits, and to achieve realistic resource and reserve estimates.
