Application of Telomerization and Dimerization to the Synthesis of Fine Chemicals

  • Chapter
Industrial Applications of Homogeneous Catalysis

Part of the book series: Catalysis by Metal Complexes ((CMCO,volume 10))

Abstract

Both the telomerization of 1, 3-dienes with nucleophiles [1] and the dimerization of substituted unsaturated compounds [2] are excellent methods to synthesize functionalized products, which can be used as building blocks for fine chemicals. There is a great number of examples given in the literature and in the present review only a small selection can be demonstrated.
