Abstract

The Bergbau-Forschung/UHDE process is a dry process for flue gas treatment with the aid of activated coke. The process takes place at the cold end of the boiler of a power station, i.e. downstream of the air preheater and electrostatic precipitator, and can be used for either desulphurization or NOx removal, or both in a simultaneous process. This paper describes the simultaneous process and the removal of NOx only.
