Abstract
Macro-economic-oriented models have been developed in the past thirty years for many countries, both for free market enterprise economies as well as for centrally planned economies. Such models often include policy simulations on the basis of estimates of economic growth indicators such as national consumption, production, employment, etc. Meanwhile many sophisticated tools have been developed for economic models at the national level in order to incorporate, among others, dynamics, (dis)equilibrium, and technological development.
