Summary
Australian research on the tolerance of plants to metal toxicity is summarized. Aspects of the effects of interactions with environmental factors such as temperature are discussed as are the effects of symbionts on uptake mechanisms, and the effects of metal tolerance on the distribution of indicator plants used in orebody location.
