Conducting Polymers for Ion Sensor Membranes as Detectors for Use in Ion Chromatography

  • Chapter
Recent Developments in Ion Exchange

Synopsis

This paper presents a preliminary study on the application of a non-specific poly (benzylpropargylamine) based membrane as a potentio-metric detector for use in ion chromatography. This membrane shows a non-specific response to some anions in flow conditions with acceptable values of slope, correlation coefficients and reproducibility. In chromatographic conditions linear correlation is found between analyte concentration and potential maximum response.
