Abstract

In nine years’ time, if the calculations of Archbishop Ussher are to be credited (1), we should be celebrating the sixth millenium of the creation of one of the most useful liquids in the world. In the words of its Creator, in his avatar as Jupiter (2), “ … water, I may tell you, was not so easy to create. Superficially, water looks like quite ordinary stuff. But imagine, if you had never seen water.. what it would mean to create it — even to get the idea of creating it”.
